I’m at the Squatters brew pub at the SLC airport and the bar tender helped guide me to the right beer. It’s called Outer Darkness and it is a very rich, flavorful imperial stout that rivals even the best Oregon beers of that style, plus it’s 10.5% ABV.
The loophole they’ve got, is that local breweries can make high ABV beers, they just can’t be served on tap so you can only get them from an establishment like this severed by the bottle (or the glass from the bottle) or from a liquor store and the bartender described the taxes on it as a “bribe”.
