The cross is an instrument of torture and execution from the classical era, the fact that Christians have embraced it as their symbol is odd. It would be like the brief return of the French monarchy in the 19th century adopting the guillotine as their symbol or if Wiccans had adopted a witch being burned at the stake for theirs.
It’s really just sick and morbid, but what else would you expect from a death cult?
