It’s not surprising that H.Con.Res.13 was passed in the House yesterday. The vote was 396 ayes, 9 nays, and 26 abstentions. That’s right, 35 members of congress didn’t support it. As odd as it may sound, I find that encouraging.
Unfortunately we now have recent congressional endorsement of the motto and its display in all public buildings, including schools.

Thanks for the link. I'm not too surprised that a Republican voted against it as there are atheist Republicans and religious Republicans that understand the separation of church and state. Who want's to bet that the rumored 27 closet atheists in Congress make up most of the nay votes and abstentions?
