Sorry, just haven’t had much time lately. So here’s the brief Tuesday Science News:

  • The microbes that allow Giant Pandas to digest cellulose, they are bears after all and physiologically speaking don’t have the digestive system for it. (Scientific American)
  • A team of scientists have created a robotic biologist. (R&D)
  • There’s a toad with three sets of chromosomes. Two are passed on sexually and one asexually. (New Scientist)
  • One of Saturn’s moons may have had its own moon. (Scientific American)
  • A fossilized dinosaur in China has been found that is 98% complete. (New Scientist)
  • A mountain has been found on the asteroid Vesta that is taller than Mt. Everest. In fact it may be the second tallest mountain in the solar system. (Space.com)
  • Eris, the dwarf planet discovered in 2005 that prompted Pluto’s demotion, may be smaller than Pluto, but it is more massive. (New Scientist)
  • A new tablet app has been developed that creates a Braille keyboard, one that follows the fingers in fact. (CNET News)
