If you haven’t watched Carl Sagan’s 1980 Cosmos series, you have to. It is informative, awe inspiring, and absolutely incredible. A new Cosmos series, an update and a way to bring a love to science to a new generation, will be airing on Fox and the National Geographic Channel in 2013. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson will be the host; the co-creator of the original Cosmos and Carl Sagan’s widow Ann Druyan is part of the creative team; and Carl Sagan fanboy Seth MacFarlane of Family Guy fame will be the executive producer. With that mix, this is bound to be incredible. I can’t wait.
