Not a Good Man
A Mormon Republican activist that was accused of rape apparently committed suicide October 23rd in his large cabin close to Herber, Utah. Gregory Nathan Peterson (37), was to stand trial on 23 felony and two misdemeanor charges – multiple counts of rape, assault and kidnapping.
Peterson was a stalwart man of the Republican party in his area had held the the Rocky Mountain Conservatives Convention and BBQ a couple years ago at his cabin. No small shindig to say the least. He even hosted high level political figures from Utah like Senator Orin Hatch, Governor Gary Herbert, US Rep Jason Chaffetz & more in his cabin. The same cabin where five women testified in August that he assaulted them.
Utah Republican Chairman Thomas Wright is in damage control mode currently. Wright said Peterson never held any leadership positions or donated money to the state party. In fact, his old friends are now claiming Peterson was a spy for the tea party movement.
Gregory was a successful CPA and the owner of the Peterson Wealth Management group. Peterson also was a frequenter of Mormon dating websites and church functions – both were places where he found the women he was accused of assaulting.
Side note: Remember boys and girls… If you must drink and drive, drink Coke. Oh, and be leery of people on the internet. Or church for that matter. Even well vetted people have secrets.
Rogue Catholics Toss Out Nazi Sympathizer
The Society of St. Pius X is a group of a group of Catholics who did not agree with the Vatican 2 changes back in the 1960s and later summarily excommunicated in 1988 by the Vatican.
Bishop Richard Williamson was a member of that group. After 21 years, the Vatican allowed him to come back in 2009. That same day Williamson was interviewed on Swedish TV. During the interview, he said no Jews were killed in Nazi gas chambers and publicly became a holocaust denier.
Charges have been brought against Williamson in Germany where holocaust denial is a crime, but that is just one of his worries. The Bish also likes to perform sacraments even after being forbidden. He bad mouths any dialogue between the society and the Vatican. Williamson even likes to go on a blog “full of crude ideas” and talk trash about his brothers.
You might think all of this was reason enough to kick him to the curb, but you would be wrong. The straw that broke the imaginary camel’s back? He called for the head of the society to step down. Oh, and he did not “declare his submission” to the group.
After all that shit, he got the boot because he did not turn in paperwork. Fucking seriously?
Kelly Likes Obama
Kelly Clarkson – a Republican at heart – is supporting Obama because of Obama’s stance on equality & Mitt’s desire to rewind the gains women have made back to the 1950s era.
I have to ask, will her support help or hinder Obama’s campaign? =p
