No Supporters
Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz is the golden boy of the Tea Party Republicans. His cry echoed off the halls and got silenced yet again. This time, he tried to get Obamacare struck off the books. But – per parliamentary procedure – he needed someone to second the bill to trigger a vote. Not a single person in the Republican controlled House of Reps would co-sponsor it.
Small but measurable progress.
Of course it’s never that simple, but it’s a start. The public support may be waning, but the Republicans are ever vigilant in their looking for weaknesses – even as Americans find the value in health care. Joe Walsh is a former representative of Illinois. He showed his cards to his detriment recently. The verily ineffectual Walsh even told his supporters to “defy and or break the law and engage in civil disobedience” when it comes to Obamacare or gun control.
Soon now, the Republicans and their idiot little brother (tea party people) will come to the acceptance stage with Obamacare. Unfortunately as Joe demonstrated, it’s at the price of gun control.
Something I’ve noticed over time is that Republicans are one topic sort of people. For the last couple years, it’s been trying to keep Obama from being elected. Then Obamacare… And, here comes gun control right on schedule. Is it just me or does the right have a pretty crap track record lately?
Just need to weather this squall a bit longer and they will find something else to complain about. Rather like my cousin’s chiwawa… Barking inanely for no reason and never accomplishing anything.
