Last night Senator Mike Crappo (R-ID) was arrested for driving under the influence when he ran a red light, failed several field sobriety tests, and blew a .11%. It would be bad enough for any senator, but to make matters even more embarrassing for him, he’s a Mormon and is/was a Bishop at that.

This brings to the mind former Senator Larry Craig (R-ID), the notoriously anti-gay bigot who received a 0 rating by the Human Rights Campaign, who was arrested for misdemeanor lewd conduct when he propositioned a cop in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport men’s room.

It would be nice if Idaho senators could just be true to themselves or at least not expose their hypocrisy so publicly.
