Lighthouses > Churches – Republican Shaming Tactics

The New Shame

Increasingly, I am hearing the following mantra/narrative from Black Christians. “I’m voting for Obama because he is the lesser of the two evils.” This is an extremely weak veiled attempt to justify their racism and loyalty to The Black Code (never side with a white against a fellow black).
Black Christians: Shame! Shame! Shame! (written by Lloyd Marcus)

That is the opening salvo in what is otherwise a very well written, thoughtful, and insightful piece of shit. Lloyd says that he talked to a black minister friend of his recently to explain the “lesser of two evils” thing to him. This pastor feels the economy is the deciding factor in this election and that Obama best represents his thoughts to get to a better future.

First I find it surprising that this writer has met a black person face to face let alone be friends with any black people. Second, well, I can’t say it better than good ‘ole Lloyd… I don’t like to quote so much, but damn. Straight from the horses mouth and all…

And by the way, this minister thinking that Obama’s economic plan of spending our way to prosperity is superior to Romney/Ryan’s plan is idiotic, nonsensical and absurd. I can not believe my friend is that stupid. I believe sighting the economy as his reason for voting for Obama is a weak excuse to mask his racism; pure and simple.

To all you, Obama-is-the-lesser-of-two-evils black Christian voters, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You “ain’t” foolin’ nobody. You are racists! May God have mercy on your souls.

I have not seen so much hate and rage in such a small area. Black people that vote for Obama are racists. Does that mean white people that vote for Obama are still trying to pay reparations to black people in the way of votes?

Lloyd, Shame. Shame on you, Sir. You are the racist and a bigot to boot. Are you taking cues from the recent “republican slut-shaming” movie made by Joel Gilbert of Barak’s deceased mother to finally feel comfortable enough to say such vile things in public? Republicans have been making a lot of money doing various types of “shaming” in the last couple years – Rush Limbaugh trying to shame Sandra Fluke a few months ago comes to mind.

I am honestly disgusted by this article and so far everything I’ve found on their website. This was one of the first articles that I found today… Didn’t get past it to find more to post. Rather pissed. Sorry guys ‘n gals.
