Take chances

I’m writing this real quick while I take a short break from a frustrating day that’s part of a frustrating week that’s part of a frustrating month at work. Anyway, it’s always good to remember the tried and true saying “nothing ventured, nothing gained.” It definitely fits well with a motto I’ve tried to live by: “No regrets.”

They’ll keep pushing until you speak up or push back, they might continue pushing, but they definitely won’t stop if you don’t say anything.

You will get exactly zero of the jobs you don’t apply for.

You will go out with exactly zero of the people you don’t get up the nerve to ask out.

You will like exactly zero of the new foods and activities you never try.

Simply put, you can live a stable life with minimal risk, or you can put yourself out there and take chances. While it can be disappointing or discouraging, it’s always worth it.
