Hit the road in March!

March is going to be awesome and quite busy. There are four events that you should make plans to be at, unfortunately it would be impossible to be at all of them.

March 24 on the National Mall in Washington, DC is the Reason Rally an exciting all day event that officially lasts from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, although I’m sure the drinking will start promptly afterwards and last late into the night, if that’s your thing. As far as speakers go, they’re featuring Richard Dawkins, PZ Myers, Taslima Nasrin, James Randy, and a live show by Bad Religion. On top of all that, I hear there will be one or two federal officials who are friendly to the cause. Cost – Free!

March 25 and 26 will be the American Atheists National Convention in Bethsada, MD (a DC suburb) and has quite the impressive list of speakers (quite similar to above). The theme is “Come out! Come out! Wherever you Are!” Cost – $179, students with ID get in for $30, get a free T-shirt, and membership in American Atheists.

March 31 at Fort Bragg is Rock Beyond Belief an awesome event for foxhole atheists and their civilian allies. Not only will there be music and inspiring speakers, but also a demonstration of the Golden Knights! Cost – Free!

March 30 – April 1 in Renton, WA is the Northwest Freethought Conference featuring Richard Dawkins and Sean Faircloth as the Sunday keynotes, other speakers are yet to be announced. Cost – $130 for the full conference and meals before January 1.

Even though I said it would be impossible to attend all four, Richard Dawkins is scheduled to speak at all four. I’ll also be at the two in DC and the one in Seattle. If you’re at any of the ones I’ll be at, be sure to say hello.
