There has been a sharp increase in the amount of comments lately. This makes me very happy, and I hope it continues. It all seemed like a good time to do a major revision to the comment policy. Last night I released version 2.0.

I know, there was never an official version 1.0 or 1.1, but I’ve decided to start numbering the revisions. If I had started with this sooner then the last update would have probably been version 1.3.1 or something like that. I am starting the numbering with 2.0 since the policy had been getting far too bloated to be useful and I simplified it. I also added a banned list and a watch list, each with just one person.

In the future I will notify you of major updates, but not minor revisions. To be clear, I will notify you when 2.1 and 3.0 come out, but not 2.0.1.
