The theme I tried after the one with the distractingly fuzzy picture of a very nice mountain in the background conflicted with Disqus. This resulted in comments not being visible because Disqus residing in the side bar and populates to the bottom of the post. As such the white text on the side bar didn’t work with the white background for the posts.

I’ve checked the look of every template on Blogger, trying to find the right fit and being something that would work with Disqus, and let me tell you, it’s not easy. Most of them just aren’t me. Since this blog is kind of an extension of me, if the look is going to have some color to it, it has to fit me. So for the time being, I’ve gone back to the one with the mountain, except with the mountain removed.

I have the weekend off so I’ll spend some more time working on this. Hopefully by Sunday I’ll have the perfect theme worked out (unless everyone likes this one). The other approach is to learn CSS.

OK, the freezer has sufficiently recovered now so I can go home. Yes, it’s almost 12:30 AM my time and I’ve been at work for 11.5 hours today…its times like this that I hate being on salary.
