Why the Republican Party of today sucks:

• They are overrun by the religious right.
• They are incapable of recognizing when the human toll and even the long term costs outweigh the short term budget savings.
• Since they can’t take away a woman’s right to choose wholesale, they are slowly eroding it everywhere they can.
• They deny science, whether it be climate change or evolution, because it interferes with their dogma or ideologies.
• They want to deny the LGBT community equal rights under the law.
• They deny the actual facts of the history of this great secular nation and prefer their own myths about the founding fathers.
• They work to further erode secularism.
• Jackasses like Gingrich make the most absurd claims, such as secular atheism leading to an Islamic state.

It would be nice if there was a place for us social liberal/fiscal conservatives…
